This is the website of JEFF TEAL-guitarist,bassist(secondarily),keyboardist,vocalist and chief songwriter of the DACHSOUND MUSIC recording artists: the JEFF TEAL TRIO.Other members include BIFF RIFFINGTON- Bass,vocals and BUFF RIPPINROCK- Drums.vocals,harmonica. The band was formed in Canton,Illinois in 2003.Canton is a town of about 14,000 people that lies around 35 miles SW of Peoria,Illinois which is about 70 miles SW of Chicago.Our music is influenced by many seemingly unrelated sources that lead to music that some have said is: "sort of eclectic","tastefully incoherent","sharply unfocused","painful but in a bad way",etc......Well..the result is vaguely reminiscent of a band who has a little too much hands on their time and molds their disparate influences in a somewhat regrettable manner.Unfortunately for the ears of corn, field enhanced central Illinois music lovers the harvest has just begun.But we like performing and recording it and since we're too old (mid 30's-early 40's) to change and (probably more truthfully) too old to really care,we decided to keep at it and if people like what they hear and see,that's great,we highly appreciate it; but if not,that's OK too....it's only music,right.In closing,the band just likes trying to do good music,with good(not always too shallow) lyrics in order to provide good entertainment that attempts to keep a sense of humor present.Maybe if good fortune is to be had ,the JEFF TEAL TRIO can get a gig to open for the.......the PARTRIDGE FAMILY and/or the BRADY KIDS world tours.....heaven on earth!I can hear it now".
